I. The I AM is equal to God. vs.6

A. Jesus is equal to God.

B. He is the Almighty God.

II. The I AM humbled himself to save us. vs.7-8

A. The I AM made himself the lowest of the low.

Isaiah 52:13–15 KJV 1900

13 Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, He shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high. 14 As many were astonied at thee; His visage was so marred more than any man, And his form more than the sons of men: 15 So shall he sprinkle many nations; The kings shall shut their mouths at him: For that which had not been told them shall they see; And that which they had not heard shall they consider.

B. The I AM came as a man.

Hebrews 4:14–16 KJV 1900

14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

1. To understand our struggles.

2. To be tempted as we are.

3. To be a High Priest that can empathize with us.

4. To be an ensample to us.

C. The I AM was willing to die for mankind.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

D. The I AM’s death was humbling and public.

III. The I AM is exalted by God. vs.9-11

10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

11 Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.

Isaiah 57:15 KJV 1900

15 For thus saith the high and lofty One That inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, With him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

A. The I AM’s name is a name above all names!

Proverbs 18:10 KJV 1900

10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower: The righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

B. The I AM’s name demands that all will bow the knee.

Romans 14:11 KJV 1900

11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

Isaiah 45:23 KJV 1900

23 I have sworn by myself, The word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, Every tongue shall swear.

1. In Heaven.

2. In Earth

3. Under the Earth.

C. All will confess who Jesus is.

James 2:19 KJV 1900

19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

-Jesus Christ is the Lord.

D. All This is to the glory of God.
